This policy covers halfpointclub.com and the Half Point Club newsletter, published under the trade name “Half Point Club”.

Newsletter and signup form (beehiiv)

Our newsletter is run on beehiiv. When you subscribe, your email address is collected and stored by beehiiv, and beehiiv may record whether emails are opened and which links are clicked. See beehiiv’s privacy policy.

Site analytics (Plausible)

We use Plausible Analytics to count visits in aggregate. According to Plausible’s data policy, Plausible itself does not use cookies, browser cache or local storage, does not store raw IP addresses or browser user-agent strings, and does not track visitors across sites, devices or days (it uses a daily identifier whose salt is deleted every 24 hours). It records the page visited (query strings are dropped except campaign/referral tags), the referrer, browser, operating system and device type, approximate location (country, region, city) derived from the IP address, and engagement measures such as scroll depth and time on page. Plausible hosts data in the EU.

Plausible can also record clicks on links to other sites, file downloads and form submissions when those options are switched on in its settings (Plausible docs). These are counted the same cookie-less way. We do not send custom properties or personal information to Plausible.

Cookies

Our own pages don't set cookies. Plausible, our analytics tool, is cookie-free. The age check is saved in your browser's local storage. The beehiiv signup form is run by beehiiv, and when it loads, beehiiv's domain sets security and bot-protection cookies (from Cloudflare and HUMAN). beehiiv's form can also load Google services (Google Tag Manager, Google Fonts). We don't control those, and we don't use them for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or skip the embedded form and subscribe on beehiiv's own page. If we ever add advertising or tracking cookies, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

More detail on the beehiiv form: the signup form on our home page is provided by beehiiv and loads from subscribe-forms.beehiiv.com, so beehiiv receives standard request data (such as your IP address and browser details) when the page loads, even if you don’t subscribe. In our own test (October 2026), beehiiv’s domain set the cookies cf_clearance, __cf_bm, _pxvid, _px3 and pxcts, and beehiiv’s frame also loaded Google Tag Manager, Google Fonts and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Any consent wording shown with the form is beehiiv’s.

Age confirmation

If you confirm you are 21 or older, your browser stores that confirmation in local storage on your device for 30 days so we don’t ask again. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Clear your browser’s site data to remove it.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your personal information, we don’t add advertising trackers to our own pages (see the beehiiv form note above for what beehiiv’s form loads), and the site contains no affiliate links or sportsbook promotions. We don’t take payments.

Age

This site is for adults 21+ (18+ where permitted). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.
